| "Boarding house DIPLOMAT" is
situated in an interesting and beautiful tourist
regions. Jánska dolina (Jánska Valley) is one
of the most beautiful valleys in the Low Tatras.
Potok Štiavnica (Brook Štiavnica), rising in
the Ďumbier granite massif as high as 2043
meters above the sea level, runs through it. Its
waters have washed out plenty of carst cavities,
pits and caverns. The valley provides a good
habitat for wildlife and therefore is rich in
andangered botanical and zoological species thus
increasing its uniquiness. In winter Jánska
dolina turns into a ski and offering
possibilities for doing alpine sports taking
rehabilitation treatments in 28 degrees
centigrate thermal water . "Boarding house
DIPLOMAT" offers hotel accommodations and

day bar. DIPLOMAT is furnished so that its
guests find all they want in its relaxati on
centre complete with a sauna, and massages, and a
small fitness room. Outside of the boarding housel
there are table-tennis facilities, multi-purpose
play-grounds, climbing towers for children and
places to sit and relax. Near of DIPLOMAT are
swimming pool with thermal water and tennis
courts, as well as minigolf and playground
facilities. If you want, you can also rent
mountain bikes. The Javorovica Ski Centre is
about 300 m from the Chalet. The re is a slope
covered with artificial snow. The indoor swimming
pools of the near-by hotels are also available.
It also pays to visit the nearby village of
Liptovský Ján. There you will find a Spa
boasting a rich history. Documents relating to
this spa have been found in mansions and castles
dating from the 16 th and 17 th centuries.
